Professional Component Tuning

As part of our service, we also tune the CPU, GPU, and the entire BIOS. Everything is optimized for more efficient PC build performance.

Undervolting a graphics card can help resolve several issues, including:
1. Coil whine from the graphics card
2. High temperatures
3. Excessive fan noise
4. High power consumption
We typically undervolt the graphics card when it produces coil whine or is installed in a build with weak airflow. This approach not only addresses these problems but also improves the overall efficiency of the graphics card. By undervolting, power consumption can be reduced by 30-40%.
Components like the graphics card and processor have default settings that are applied similarly in every computer. However, this baseline may not be ideal for every PC build. Tuning these components should be customized to fit the specific build. This process involves adjusting individual settings for the processor or graphics card to achieve the best performance for that particular machine. For instance, in small mini PCs with limited space, undervolting is the most appropriate option. Here, the focus is on maintaining optimal temperatures. In contrast, systems equipped with high-performance cooling can support overclocking for greater performance, even if it results in higher temperatures.
The value of overclocking depends on the specific processor or graphics card. Some models come with more factory headroom, which makes it easier to achieve higher performance. Generally, overclocking can enhance a component's performance by 5-15%. However, the overclocking potential can vary, as chips are made of silicon. This means that even 10 identical processors placed side by side may not all reach the same level of overclocking.
Each PC build undergoes rigorous testing with various benchmarks to ensure stability. We primarily use OCCT and 3DMark for this purpose. OCCT focuses on testing processor stability by applying either a constant or variable load to each core over a specified duration. On the other hand, 3DMark serves as a general performance measurement tool for the entire system, producing a score that reflects the combined performance of the processor, graphics card, and RAM. Additionally, Cinebench and FurMark are stress tests specifically designed to push the processor and graphics card to their limits, running at 100% load for several hours.
